Account Deletion & Data Removal

Effective date: June 7, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Troja account and what happens to your data when you do. Troja is operated by FounderGem LLC. For help with deletion, contact [email protected].

1. How to delete your account

You can delete your account in two ways:

  1. Self-service. Sign in, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, and confirm. This starts the deletion process immediately.
  2. By request. Email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We may verify your identity before proceeding to protect your data.

2. What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we remove or irreversibly anonymize:

  • your profile and account record (name, email, authentication credentials);
  • your verified domains and scan history stored in our Supabase database;
  • saved preferences and settings; and
  • support correspondence that is no longer needed for legal or operational reasons.

Active subscriptions are cancelled as part of deletion. Cancelling does not by itself delete your account; use the deletion steps above for full removal.

3. What we retain (and why)

Some data may be retained for a limited period after deletion where we have a legal or legitimate basis:

  • Billing and tax records held by us and by Stripe, retained as required by law (typically several years).
  • Security and abuse logs needed to detect fraud or comply with legal obligations, retained for a limited period.
  • Backups that expire on a rolling schedule; residual copies are purged as backups cycle out.

Retained data is access-restricted and used only for the stated purpose.

4. Timelines

  • Account access ends immediately on confirmation.
  • Personal data in active systems is deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
  • Data in rolling backups is purged as those backups expire, normally within 90 days.

5. Subprocessor deletion

We instruct relevant subprocessors to delete the data they hold on our behalf, subject to their own legally required retention (for example, Stripe's financial records).

6. Reversal window

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once processing begins. If you delete by mistake, contact [email protected] immediately; if data has already been removed, we may be unable to recover it.

7. Your privacy rights

Deleting your account is one way to exercise your data rights. You also have separate rights to access, correct, export, or restrict your data — see the Privacy Policy. EU/EEA and UK users may contact a supervisory authority.

8. Questions

For any question about deletion, retention, or data removal, email [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
